Working in tandem with the Production team and preparing detail drawings, manufacturing drawings, keeping drawing records.
Execute all design and engineering activities within the company.
Play significant role in new designs from the concept stage to the development of prototypes through to finished products ready for manufacture
Ensure design projects are completed on time and within budget.
Implement design processes and best practices to improve efficiency and quality.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure design requirements are met.
Conduct research and development to stay current with industry advancements.
Maintain design and engineering documentation.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Create a range of 3D models for a number of proposal/production and development systems, products, and components using CAD
Responsibility for the handling all design and engineering documentation including Request for Design freeze/release, Design Failure Mode Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Design Verification/Product Validation (DV & PV) testing.
Present design, costs, changes and budgetary information effectively to senior members and customers and provide regular progress updates
Liaise closely with all departments to fully understand design requirements
Manage customer relationships and handle customer inquiries related to design and development.
Provide technical support to manufacturing, sales and customer service departments.
